I just picked up a yellow 90c from craigslist (had a white 90c a few years ago but exwife took it in divorce!) and wondered if anybody can sell me the small piece that protects the bottom of the oven door from the lighter slot. My door has a hole burnt into it. I can get a new door panel but still need the small shield. Love the website, love the Chambers and can't wait to get mine into my renovated kitchen.

    Redmond-

Yeah, I've got that same problem on my model B. I'll be curious to hear what the answer is.

    Congratulations on the new stove.

Count me in too with a hole. Mine's a model B. I can't even see where the heat shield would attach!

Not all the oven door panels came with the heat shields, and they do bolt on so if yours doesn't have the bolt-holes, then yours didn't come with it.

You can either wait for another interior door to come up on e-Bay, or you can contact some of the Chambers suppliers that people on this board have used. Just remember, though, that the heat-shield is smaller on the Model B than the C, so make sure you get a model that matches your stove.

Or, you can try fashioning a heat shield yourself - probably wouldn't be that hard.

Good news! I found the heat shield inside the bottom of the stove. I see that there is always a hole in that location to screw the shield into but the hole has gotten rusted and much larger. I think buying a new inside panel will be easier than trying to get the half an inch of burnt on grease that covers the panel and then trying to fix the hole. The panel cost $150.00

Uhhh... BEFORE you blow that $150... I might know of where you can get a panel MUCH cheaper! MUCH MUCH MUCH!

Send me a private messge and I'll send you an email with info.
